Project competition aimed to promote the "culture of knowhow" through the works of the 40 NABA design students (half of them italian, half of them from foreign cultures) within the courses of New Materials Technology. The participants have been asked to define the design and implement the technological and constructive development of a display element for fashion accessories (bags, belts, hats, leathers, shoes, small-sized garments) or jewels (necklaces, rings, earrings, watches, etc.)
The jury of the competition awarded two ex-aequo projects, which will be undergoing prototyping process in early 2019. The students will have the opportunity to work on the realization of their own ideas directly at the manufacturing plant. Design is not only a matter of creativity and ideas, but the capacity to put into practice the many valuable knowhow competences rooted in the local cultures of production.
